What people are telling us - 1

  • Need support to access diagnosis faster
  • Its should be about needs, not diagnosis – the

diagnosis gets you nothing

  • Support people with autism need support to

understand what it means to live with the condition and the impact on their families

  • There needs to be awareness raising in

universal and specialist services – so people with autism can be supported appropriately

Role of the Autism Group is to progress the action plan, identify gaps and approach, ensure it is wider than adults with a disability and also covers autistic children
