ME Department is committed to adequate training and preparation of students for their future career in the industry by inviting speakers from the industry and organizing industrial visits for students. A four-man team from Reliasoft Corporation – USA and Reliability Expert Centre – KSA presented a seminar on Reliability Data Analysis and Modelling Software on 5th December 2016 at the Tent Hall of Jubail University College starting at 12:30 PM. The main agenda of this presentation was to update students and faculty members about the new trends in industries regarding reliability, maintainability and sustainability software. The presentation mainly focused on reliability software, tools and methodologies to ensure and optimize maintainability and sustainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, safety and security systems. In the presentation, the presenters talked about the software and available training opportunities designed to improve operational productivity, plant maintenance, reliability and availability of equipment at optimum lifecycle cost, with minimal carbon footprint. Finally, in the open session students and faculty members asked various questions regarding the software to which the presenters answered to their satisfaction. The session ended with the feedback and suggestions from the students for necessary training of the students which was noted by Dr. Asif Hoda, Deputy Chairperson of the ME program.
