NRW = +1,000,000,000 cubic meters per day

What is the problem?

1000’s of KMs to survey - Not enough workforce to do it

Limited KM capacity per day (2-4Kms) Focusing on a small portion of the network per year neglecting leaks in other areas sometime for years at a time Many KMs of pipes are surveyed with no leaks found

18/7/2017 Miskolc, Hungary Utilis Inc. In just 2 days, 17 leaks were found in Miskolc, Hungary and non revenue water was reduced by 0.6% 10/7/2017 Doringkloof (city of Tshwane), South Africa Utilis Inc. just finished the first project in South Africa. Using satellite based leak detection our acoustic teams found 16 leaks in just 2 days

Apa Nova – Bucharest

“Utilis allowed us to find leaks that would have been hard to find otherwise. In a few days of work we found some significant leaks, estimated at 250,0 ,000 m3 per er year ar, that’s s about ut 0.8% % of our current ent water er loss

  • ss. This

volume of savings, convinced us about the potential of using this technology, being complimentary to our existing methods, and futher include it in our yarly program of NRW reduction. In the next phase, we will combine Utilis data with other data layers to better integrate this technology in our process, making the field acoustic verification work more efficient”

Apa Nova, a Veolia managed water company, services over 2,000,000 residents of the Romanian capital of Bucharest. Apa Nova delivers 170,000,000 m3 of potable water yearly, through 3,000 Km of pipes and trunk mains. Apa Nova water distribution network, is one of the most advanced in Europe. Divided into 10-20 Km pipe length sectors (DMAs), and tightly monitored to respond to any abnormality. In July 2017 Apa Nova conducted a pilot study with Utilis, a satellite based Leak detection technology (through BIO TECH s.r.l., representative of Utilis in Romania), to assess it’s impact on their ongoing proactive leak detection program. The results were positive and further stages are discussed.

RWC Mitrovica, Kosovo

In September 2017 Utilis partnered with Aquasave from Macedonia for a pilot in RWC Mitrovoca, Kosovo. The project was funded by the Luxemburg Agency for Development and

  • Cooperation. The goal of the project was to assess the

technology as a new tool for the RWC’s leak detection effort. The project’s results exceeded expectations and the pilot was deemed successful. Discussions for expansion are in process.

  • 15 days
  • 42 Utilis locations
  • 60 leaks

“Statistically finding 4 leaks per day is 400 00% more

  • re efficien

ent than han the he indu ndustr try’s aver average

  • age. This efficiency paired with the

capability of scanning an entire network multiple times per year will definitely allow utilities to reduce their water loss significantly more than with traditional approach”

9/10/2017 Florence, Italy 6 leaks before lunch. A great example of maximizing the potential of Utilis Inc. technology. Together with our partner 2f Water Venture srl we are assisting Publiacqua S.p.A. and INGEGNERIE TOSCANE S.R.L. in the first stages of our service contract for 6000kms of their distribution network 18/10/2017 Grosetto, Italy 10 leaks in 2 days. Acquedotto del Fiora S.p.A. INGEGNERIE TOSCANE S.R.L. 2f Water Venture srl When Utilis Inc. indicates suspected leakage sites in your network, its just easier to find and allows you to find more leaks per day = reduce water loss

28/8/2017 Pesaro, Italy Plastic pipes create difficulty in leak detection. Utilis

  • Inc. found today 3 leaks in a 80% plastic pipe

network. Finding and fixing leaks faster than they reappear is crucial for lowering physical water loss. In Pesaro, Italy MARCHE MULTISERVIZI SPA found 18 leaks this week using Utilis

29/8/2017 Trieste, Italy Utilis Inc. uses SAR technology to help utilities around the world find more leaks per day. Here's 3 l/s of your minimum night flow. 16/8/2017 Albstadt, Germany Utilis Inc. finished the project after 15 days with 106 leaks found, on average 7 leaks per day

Key benefits

  • No CAPEX needed – cost effective
  • Lowest cost of leak found of any

technology

  • No special implementation

required

  • Not wasting time on pipes with no

leaks efficiency

  • Survey the entire network a few

times a year repetition

  • Leak management capabilities
