  3. Program Goals To provide a Postdoc Survival Skills Workshop incorporating Responsible Conduct of Research Training for postdoctoral scholars at the University at Buffalo and affiliated institutions. Our long term goal is to enhance the University’s commitment to Responsible Conduct of Research training in coordination with the Office of the Vice President for Research. We feel that presenting RCR topics as part of a Postdoc Survival Skills Workshop will increase participation; many reports recommend that RCR is best taught as part of a larger compliment of general research skills (Board on Health Sciences Policy and Institute of Medicine (2002)).

  4. Marketing • the Office of Postdoctoral Scholars (OPS) website • the program description will be sent to all postdoctoral scholars through the listserv that is maintained by the OPS • the program description will be sent to all members of the Postdoc Advisory Committee • E-mail to all STEM departments with postdoctoral scholars • Dr. Morris spoke to the Graduate School Executive Committee about the Workshop to make these groups familiar with the program and to emphasize the importance of RCR to the campus. • Opened up attendance to senior PhD students
