PLEASE , Let us know you want to be removed / do not select us as spam –this clogs our service provider which is then required to take action to restrict emailing thus affecting our ability to send information to those that want it. Our lists are "opt-in" and not run on an automated system, addresses are added either manually by the admin by request or individuals subscribe themselves. Over the next few days we have no choice but to delete those addresses that are bouncing…This may mean that Your email will be deleted even if you do not want this to happen. We apologize for this situation, which is beyond our control, but must take action before we lose our ability to host an email list altogether.

Unit Leaders, BE PREPARED! As we approach the summer months the membership of your units will change for it's the prime time that military families move to new duty stations. To insure that outgoing & incoming Scouts get full credit for their achievements, please comply with the guidance in the following slides…

To be recorded: Each Scout's Official Advancement Record is maintained at Council. Rank Advancements • Merit Badges • Other Recognitions

(Whittling Chip, Totin' Chip, Mile Swim, etc.)

Are Submitted by a youth’s Unit (Pack, Troop, etc.) AND NO ONE ELSE

Barry Swift District Advancement Chair

slide-12
SLIDE 12

 Units are to submit Advancements and Recognitions on a

“Unit Advancement Report” immediately after activity completion not the recognition presentation.

 A report should be submitted to Council monthly,

even if only one Scout is listed.

slide-13
SLIDE 13

 When a Scout leaves his current unit, for any reason, that unit is to

immediately prepare & give the Scout's parent/guardian a BSATRANSFER FORM to take to his next unit whether the new unit be across the street or anywhere world-wide.

 The form is to show all known accomplishments at the time of leaving. The

form, # 524-401, may be downloaded from scouting.org>ScoutSource>Forms

 To insure completeness, please use the BSA form instead of computer

spreadsheets.

 Additionally, Scouts are to possess their own merit badge partial "blue cards"

until merit badge completion. Please use this form and No other to ensure completeness Barry Swift 910-308-2731
