First Option for Kentucky

$40.47/day Do nothing:

  • Freestanding PC Homes will close due to increased costs of operations (i.e.

competitive wages for staff, services costs, and other costs) Results of doing nothing:

  • 3200 Residents across Kentucky will need new placements
  • Loss of an important level in the continuum of care
  • Increase costs to state: Jails, Homelessness, Hospital emergency room visits,

Increased risk of drug addiction

Second Option for Kentucky

$40.47/day Increase reimbursement and let PC Homes be part of the solution:

  • PC Homes will be asking for a rate increase during the 2020 Session
  • Last rate increase for PC Homes was in 2006

Results of increasing reimbursement:

  • Continue to take care of those with SMI (care, medication, food, services, etc.)
  • Most cost efficient level of care
