Display Operation

How range and direction is shown

  • 1. Distance to the closest object is displayed
  • 2. The total number of each object type is indicated in the 4

counters, showing how many of that object in each of the 3 zones

  • 3. Radial lines of LEDs emanating from the center indicate the

angle of detected tagged objects

  • 4. Bearing is achievable by EM, Radar and GPS – if no bearing is

available the circle will provide zone indication

  • 5. A sensor will provide automatic dimming in bright conditions
  • 6. The arrows allow for complete local configuration of the

system and fault finding

Additional Functional

Linking & attachments

22

Linking Attachment Suppresses Audible Warnings Yes Yes Suppresses Visual Warnings Yes Yes Global or Local Feature Local Global Suppression Intended For External Objects Occupants Remembered Across Power Cycles No No

  • 1. Attachments

1.

RF Bubble is set up around the PAS equipment (approx. 1m max)

2.

The driver “attaches” his tag to the vehicle by pressing the tag button twice

3.

No alarm will be generated by that machine for that tag (activity still recorded)

4.

The driver will then not set off other vehicle alarms because he is attached to that vehicle

  • 2. Linking

1.

The PAS system can be linked to single or multiple vehicles (pre defined via the software)

2.

Typical use is when one vehicle loading another or

  • perating in close proximity

3.

Performed when TAG is in the urgent zone

4.

Driver links tags by tapping the a button the PAS Z & ZR

Issuing Station

Control & monitoring of tag allocation

23

  • 1. The issuing station controls the issuing and returning of

the PT-TAG’s allocated to staff and visitors.

  • 2. The station monitors the number of tags in and out of

the system, providing an automated electronic tally board.

  • 3. All user details including tag test results are saved in a

SQL database.

  • 4. The user biometrics is captured at the terminal along

with compulsory user details such as company ID, telephone and contact details etc.
