Innovating Safety. Powering Productivity . 4

  5. PAS Z & ZR Overview Benefits of the PAS System 1. The PAS Z is a cost effective tag based solution for above & below ground – the ZR is a ruggedized version 2. Suitable for mines, worksites, depots, temporary possessions and hazardous areas 3. Accurate range and direction for all vehicles, personnel, obstacles and assets 4. Audio and visual warnings with the option of an external strobe/siren 5. All events logged internally with an extensive reporting capability 6. Simplistic local configuration or user friendly software for future download 7. Wi-Fi and 3G capabilities to allow remote monitoring and configuration 8. Self-contained for simplistic and quick installation Innovating Safety. Powering Productivity . 5

  6. PAS Z & ZR Features Overview of the features 1. Multiple technologies for redundancy and accuracy 2. User definable ranges (Urgent, Mid and Far) 3. Customizable audio and visual warnings 4. Advanced monitoring and reporting systems 5. Geo-fencing capability 6. 4 outputs and 4 inputs alarms allowing optional control and interaction with vehicle and machines 7. Recognizes 4 user definable groups, such as personnel, assets, vehicle types, visitors, obstacles etc. 8. Critical reports for daily review and full data capture for offsite analysis 9. Compatible with PBE’s tracking system and entry/exit system functionality for an integrated solution 10. Powered via the ignition circuit of the vehicle/machine or via an auxiliary power source Innovating Safety. Powering Productivity . 6

  7. Technologies Used 4 technologies to provide redundancy and accuracy over long distances 1. Multiple detection technologies - EM (Electromagnetics), RFID, GPS & bi-directional Radar 2. GPS receiver for surface tracking and defining site geo-fencing 3. Magnetic solid state compass 4. Wi-Fi and 3G data capture and backhaul capabilities 5. USB port for configuration and data extraction without wireless connectivity FREQUENCIES ITU Region 1 ITU Region 2 ITU Region 3 ( EMEA) (Americas) (Asia/Oceania) RFID 868.3MHz 915MHz 920MHz Radar 4.5GHz 4.5GHz 6.5GHz Electromagne<c (EM) 122.1kHz 122.1kHz 122.1kHz Innovating Safety. 8. PAS Technology Overview Combining 4 technologies to provide all range protection and redundancy 1. All technologies have restrictions but a combination can provide accuracy, range and direction 2. PAS uses the most accurate of the combined technologies, dependent on vehicle type, application or requirement 3. Precedence for each technology can be defined RANGE & ACCURACY ESTIMATIONS Range Accuracy Notes Zonal Accuracy limited, communicaJons channel only RFID ≈ 60m, 200A awareness for EM and GPS.
