The Project 2015 was launched and adopted on November 6th, 2010 during our 16th National General Convention in Philadelphia, PA under the leadership of President J. Sackie Kennedy with the aim of “ Restoring and Elevating William V.S. Tubman High School to New Height!” We were privileged and honored to be

appointed by the leadership of President Saywalah Kesselly with two mandates:

 To assess the overall needs of William V.S. Tubman High School in Monrovia, Liberia; and  To facilitate Fund drives, Educational Materials and secure Human Resources

There’s a frantic need to refurbish William V.S. Tubman High School which lies in devastation with its physical structure crumbling and instructional facilities tumbling- down and its incapacitated to meet the aims for which it was established. With these ailing conditions Project 2015 was launched and adopted during the 16th National General Convention.

 Former Superintendent of the Monrovia Consolidated School System (1972 – 1976) who had demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities.

Outstanding Service Award

Ellen Summerville Outstanding Service Award

 Former Teacher & vice Principal of William V.S. Tubman High School and also Assistant Minister of Education, Republic of Liberia who had demonstrated outstanding and exemplary service and significant contributions to Administration and program development to William V.S. Tubman High School and the Republic of Liberia.

International Scholar Award

  • Dr. Asa Grant Hilliard International Scholar Award

 Multi-disciplinarian and International Scholar whose work in education, socialization, psychology, history and the culture of the African Diaspora impacted people around the globe.  Dr. Hilliard joined the faculty of San Francisco State University and was sent to Liberia, West Africa where he served as Chief of Party for the San Francisco State advisory team, a school psychologist, a consultant to the Peace Corp and ultimately as superintendent of schools in Monrovia.

HOW The Project 2015 Committee will facilitate the suave planning and implementation of activities with specific role and responsibilities to each sub- committee.
