Unique NVAO & THE-ICE Joint Accreditation Project
Involves 5 out of 7 hotel management programs of the

Association Dutch Hotel Management Schools

Re-accreditation by NVAO is required every 6 years
Either limited (4 standards) or extended (11 standards)

assessment; Ad, Bachelor and Master level

Standards of THE-ICE and NVAO overlap partially
NVAO can also award Distinctive Features like

Internationalisation or Small-scale and intensive education

About the Project

No consultancy bureau involved, which is a first
Each expert panel holds 2 THE-ICE auditors, 1 or 2

additional experts, 1 student and 1 secretary

Roof-tiling between panels is required by NVAO
Site visits take up to 3 days per school, March till

June 2018

branding of Dutch Hotel Schools
