Key information for a successful school year

Absences:

Lawful Absences: Illness- requires a doctors excuse Illness or Death in your family- evidence required School Activity Religious Holiday- evidence required Principal Approved

Unlawful Absences: Yearlong (1 credit) Semester (0.5 credit)

Tardy

Tardy = Outside the classroom when the bell sounds. After the 5th tardy, students will be assigned 1 day of ISS up to the 10th tardy. After the 10th tardy, the student will be assigned OSS.

ZERO TOLERANCE

for all Drugs and Alcohol.

Cell Phones:

Cell phones are not allowed to be seen or used during class time (bell to bell).

Dress Code:

Shorts and skirts must not exceed 3 inches above the top of the knee. Female sleeveless shirts must be at least 4 inches in

• width. Male students must wear shirts with sleeves.

Pants with holes exposing skin above the knee, or having writing upon the rear are not permissible. Hats, sunglasses, bandanas, etc may not be worn. Any apparel/body augmentation deemed distracting by PHS administration is not permissible.

Cheating & Plagiarism

Honesty and integrity are expected when completing assignments. Cheating and Plagiarism are prohibited. This includes but is not limited to:

Copying another student's work Working with others on individual assignments Looking at or copying another's quiz/test answers Allowing others to look at/copy your work Using other methods to get/give answers Copying information from a source without proper citations Taking or copying papers from other students, publications, or the internet
