  4. ADP- ENERGY (A BIOTIC D EPLETION P OTENTIAL )  This impact category describes the reduction of the availability of the fossil energy carriers.  The reference substance for the characterisation factors is antimony. 𝐸𝑆 𝑗 ∙𝑆 𝑠𝑓𝑔2  𝐵𝐸𝑄 𝑗 = 𝐸𝑆 𝑠𝑓𝑔 ∙𝑆 𝑗 2 R i = ultimate reserve of resource i [MJ] DR i = de-accumulation or energy production [MJ/year] R ref = ultimate reserve of the reference resource, antimony [kg] DR ref = extraction rate of the reference resource, antimony [kg/year]

  5. ADP - ENERGY [MJ] 16 14,80 14 11,70 11,30 12 10,30 9,69 10 7,66 8 4,93 5,39 6 3,62 4 0,47 2 0,65 0,09 0,11 0,02 0 Abiotic depletion potential - energy (ADP) for the production of 1kWh of electricity for different technologies in Czechia

  6. POCP (P HOTOCHEMICAL OZONE CREATION POTENTIAL ) At ground-level ozone is classified as a damaging trace gas.  Photochemical ozone production in the troposphere (summer smog), is suspected to  damage vegetation and material, high concentrations of ozone are toxic even for humans. Sun radiation and the presence of nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons incur complex  chemical reactions producing aggressive reaction products, one of which is ozone. High concentrations of ozone do not often occur near hydrocarbon emission sources.  Actual ozone concentration is strongly influenced by the weather and by the  characteristics of the local conditions (temperature, humidity, concentrations of hydrocarbons … )

  7. POCP [ KG E THENE -E QUIV .] 6,00E-04 5,03E-04 4,92E-04 5,00E-04 3,54E-04 3,43E-04 4,00E-04 3,07E-04 3,00E-04 1,64E-04 1,44E-04 1,58E-04 2,00E-04 1,24E-04 1,33E-04 1,00E-04 3,22E-05 8,89E-07 3,33E-06 2,38E-06 0,00E+00 The formation of summer smog (POCP) for the production of 1 kWh of electricity for various technologies in Czechia

  8. C ONCLUSION  The largest ADP - energy potential is present in the case of heavy fuel oil and technologies based on fossil fuels.  The highest POCP impact have combastion technologies.  Czechia should try decrease impact of both above mentioned criterias.
