Recruitment Process When you register your vacancy with SDW Recruitment, we will identify your full requirements, including the specific experience needed, any specialist system / software knowledge required for the role, plus get a good feel for your company and working environment. With SDW Recruitment we tell you the truth! If we have no one at the time registered with us who has the experience and qualities you require, we will tell you, we won't just send you any CV, we only introduce candidates who are up to the standard, and have the relevant experience you require. SDW Recruitment aim to interview all of our candidates personally, before forwarding their applications to clients. If for any reason, for example geographic location, we are unable to interview the candidate face to face, we will hold an in-depth telephone interview. All CVs will be forwarded to you for your perusal, we will not arrange any further introductions until we receive your go ahead. Once you have informed us of any candidates you wish to interview we will arrange all the details with the candidate on your behalf, ensuring the candidate is fully prepared, for example providing them with your website address, and as much information as possible regarding your company and the position they are applying for. Our aim is to provide an outstanding and quality driven service, helping both client and candidate make informed decisions and to simplify the complete recruitment process.

Database / Advertising & Selection We have a large database of active candidates, which has been developed through a combination of word of mouth referrals, media and powerful web based marketing, so we are ideally placed to assist you with your vacancy from the moment you make contact with us, and in most cases be able to provide you with an instant shortlist of up to 5 candidates that meet your requirement. In addition to our extensive internal database, candidates will be generated from a variety of sources including on-line advertisements, Web-based marketing, industry specific job boards / media, social networks and recommendations through our strong network.

Additional Services Short Term Contracts / Temps As part of our commitment to our clients we have identified the need for some of our customers to engage candidates on a temporary basis to cover busy periods, holiday / sickness cover, or to assist in short term projects, realizing that most of these type of enquiries are urgent and that you will need someone to start almost immediately. If your business ever has a need to engage a temporary candidate with the relevant shipping / forwarding / logistics experience, we can assist in a number of ways. 5 Year History Referencing & Criminal Record Check SDW Recruitment are now pleased to offer a full 5 year history referencing & criminal record check. This is based on a flat fee, no matter how many references are required. All gaps of more than one month to be discussed with candidates and covered by personal references as appropriate. Our criminal record checks (basic disclosures) reveal all unspent convictions - any custodial sentences of 24 months or more, no matter when the offence took place all recent criminal offences (generally committed within the last 10 years) will appear on the certificate. Fee structure available on request.

Additional Services Salary Guidance SDW Recruitment is constantly in communication with the industry, registering thousands of candidates a year so we are ideally placed to offer our advice and guidance on salary levels and trends. We are of course, also in constant contact with companies from the large top 4 through to smaller SMEs, so we know better than anyone what the market is paying for similar roles. Interview Facilities We appreciate that sometimes it can be difficult to hold interviews at your offices for whatever reason, or in a public place, so in order to ensure complete confidentiality SDW can offer interview facilities at their offices in Southampton.
