  5. 2017 Highlights • Held first Tarion Warranty Information Session for new homeowners • Held first Christmas Craft & Vendor Show spotlighting local Stonebridge entrepreneurs • Joined the City of Ottawa Group Fitness Membership Program for 20% member discount on 23 fitness facilities • Closed on multi-year landscaping agreement with Monarch/Mattamy related to 11 new homes (over 100 trees planted) • Influenced development application at 3740 Jockvale (Pink House) • More traffic calming measures introduced throughout the community

  13. Safety and Security 2017 Accomplishments 
 • Organized the “Spring into Safety” event, which brought a number of safety related organizations together • Engaged with City of Ottawa councillors to proactively address traffic safety issues – Targeted areas of traffic safety – Flex sticks and speed sign road markings • Engaged with community police officer and Ottawa Police Neighbourhood Watch Program to disseminate Watch-related warnings • Increased communication/outreach with Stonebridge residents on issues of safety and security via social media

 2018 Priorities • Continue to work closely with the City of Ottawa officials to address traffic safety concerns, especially speeding and stop sign running (flex sticks, targeted enforcement) • Increase awareness of safety and security issues and encourage the reporting of vandalism and/or criminal activity (613-236-1222 for non- emergencies) • Engage with the Stonebridge community to raise safety awareness on a number of issues including bike/helmet safety and car seat installation via social media and events • Collaborate with surrounding Community Associations on issues of mutual concern

 2017 Highlights 
 • Annual Spring Clean-up Day held at the end of April – cleaned our 3 parks and all community entrances • Spoke with residents about taking down signs they put up on light standards and traffic signs • Requested signage at W.C. Levesque Park to reinforce stoop and scoop policy, that dogs are to be kept at least 20 feet from play area, and cleanup along the river is crucial • Spoke with several residents re trees they though were on their property

 2018 Priorities 
 • Hold the Annual Spring Clean-Up Day, HQ will be at Kilbirnie Park and will be held as part of the City of Ottawa’s Cleaning the Capital initiative at the end of April • Continue to educate the community about Tree Care and the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) • Continue talking to City about signage at parks • Issue reminders about the stoop and scoop City of Ottawa bylaw, litter pickup and recycling • Attend the Public Meeting on Class 9 Pesticide Use conducted by the Stonebridge Golf Course

 2017 Highlights Stonebridge Parks • WC Levesque, Golflinks, and Kilbirnie Park continue to be adopted by the SCA on behalf of the community - we adopted Orchard Park and Stonebridge Trail too! • Establishment of lead persons in each park who report back to me on problems • Let’s keep our parks clean and report any damage being done to them Stonebridge ‘Just for Fun’ Soccer Program • 150 children enjoyed this program again this year • Many thanks to over 25 volunteer coaches and parent helpers • Equipment refreshed – 25 balls, 5 ball bags, 100 cones, 25 pinnies Kilbirnie Skating Rink • Another great year of outdoor skating (Christmas through March break). Enjoyed again by residents and local organizations for social events • Many thanks to the special dedication of our rink volunteers Orchard Park • Plan to send out another questionnaire this year on park satisfaction • Original questionnaire not conclusive, issued in Winter and it was not a full year since the park was finished
