  2. OIB – Literature and History/Geography • Cycle 1ere/Ter is tested in Ter with: • One 4 hr written test in LL and one 30 min oral, both test the whole two year program • One 4 hr written test in HG and one 20 min oral – both in English only and on the Ter program only

  3. Schedule • In literature, students have 6 sessions a week with the teacher which replaces their LVA classes in the « tronc common » and the « contrôle continue ». • In History and Geography, students have 5 sessions a week with two teachers (one in French and one in English according to the B.O.). These classes replace the History/Geography of the « tronc commun » and the « contrôle continue ».

  4. Literature Program • 1ere/Ter English Program: 5 to 6 Core texts for all OIB schools with the American Section; 3 in-depth texts for the oral exams • The Tempest (core and in-depth) • 2 works of prose (one core and one in-depth) • 2 plays (one core) • 2 works in translation (one core) • 2 poets (one core and one in-depth) • 1 work of non-fiction

History Program • Histoire Syllabus - OIB 2019-2020 : Nations, empires, nationalités (de 1789 aux lendemains de la Première Guerre Mondiale) • Theme 1 : Revolutionary Europe • Theme 2: France and the US - Politics and society, 1848- 1871 • Theme 3: France and the US - Politics and Society to 1914 • Theme 4: World War One, the suicide of Europe, and end of empires within Europe

Geography Program • Geography Syllabus – OIB 2019 – 2021: The Dynamics of a Changing World • Theme 1: Urbanisation: a Global Differentiated Process • Theme 2: Diversification of Spaces, Actors and Production • Theme 3: Rural Spaces: Diversification or Fragmentation? • Theme 4: China : Spatial changes/ spatial restructuring / territorial restructuring
