  11. CULTURE Developing a positive club culture is important – coach led objectives 1. Respect - all players within the club to shake hands with all club coaches as well as shaking hands with referees and opposition coaches after all the games. 2. Commitment - All players to show a strong committed to training. 3. Organisation - All players wearing the same equipment. Coaches being well prepared for practices and games

PLAYING PHILOSOPHY – U8 TO U12  All players to be able to pass and receive under pressure  Play through the thirds – Possession style of play  Rotation of player positions  Fair playing time  Promote Creativity  Be able to compete in 1v1 situations with and without the ball  Fun and positive learning environment where the players are not afraid to make mistakes

COACHING PHILOSOPHY  Create an environment conducive to learning for ALL NSC players  Coaching to develop – players that are comfortable on the ball  Focus on improving technique as well as decision making  Use a variety of coaching styles, GAG methodology (game based learning)  Strong focus on coach education for ALL coaches “Commitment to Development”

SEASON & PROGRAM OVERVIEW  Licensed head coaches with each age group  Twice weekly team training at indoor facility  Weekly Futsal session in the gyms  Family day activities – February 20 th  Twice weekly outdoor sessions (once the fields open)  Indoor and Outdoor assessments – ZoomReports  Weekly goalkeeper sessions - Sundays, 9-10am at the SoccerCentre

  18. OPTIONAL PROGRAMS  Fall/Winter Exhibition games  Facility booked 3 per team from November to May  March Break player development sessions  Pre-season – Speed, Agility and Quickness sessions  Team sessions – April to early May

  19. YRSA TEAM TIERING PROCESS  Rationale…to have players playing at the appropriate level  Open rosters – allows players to move freely from team to team within age group  YRSA ask the club TDs to place teams  The club consults the coaches  Ultimate decision is made by the TD

  20. CODE OF CONDUCTS IT IS A REQUIREMENT THAT EVERY COACH, PLAYER AND PARENT SIGN AND RETURN A CODE OF CONDUCT

  21. PLAYER CONDUCT  Commitment to the program  Good attitude towards games and training  Be prepared to work hard  Focus on improving  Respect – coaches, players, parents and officials  Inform your coach if you are going to be absent

PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT  Help us promote a good learning environment  Cooperate and communicate with the coach  Manage your expectations – both your child and the team  Do not focus on the score as a measurement for success  No coaching from the sidelines  Cheer and support all players from the sidelines  Bad behaviour will not be tolerated

  24. NEW UNIFORM SUPPLIER  We are pleased to announce that Umbro is our new uniform brand, supplied through Soccer Nation in Aurora. Players will receive the following:  3 Jerseys (main jersey and two alternates)  2 pairs of shorts and 3 pairs of socks  Tracksuit  Backpack  Practice ball

  25. PROCESS  Information will be sent out via e-mail regarding the process  Ordering will take place at the end of November, beginning of December with an estimated March arrival date  Players will receive a training shirt the first week of training  Name and numbering protocol

  26. PROCESS  Tracksuits and Bags will be supplied in alternate years  Tracksuits and bags will be provided in the standard uniform kit every other season starting with the 2016/2017 season. In seasons where the backpack and tracksuit are not included in the kit, the cost of the tracksuit and bag will be removed from the registration fees. This has been done in an effort to save families some money, as many players don’t need a new tracksuit or bag every year if it still fits/is in good condition: Note: all players must have a tracksuit and bag each season. Should you wish to purchase a tracksuit or backpack in off seasons, Soccer Nation will be able to assist you with ordering and sizing.
