The Rationale

  • Move towards technical qualifications in the UK and international markets

an opportunity to broaden our church

  • To engage and support apprentices/ early careers professionals across the

world

  • To engage and support small and medium sized companies
  • A home for those completing our regulated qualifications at levels 3,4 and

5

  • To provide career progression pathways to this large and important

international constituency

  • Future jobs are not necessarily mainly graduate roles

SLIDE 12

What would the pathway look like?

  • Would require a qualifying award – a sub degree qualification
  • Would include an assessment of relevant competencies and

professional behaviours at a technical level

  • Would include post nominals
  • Strict conditions of entry to ensure that it does not overlap/compete

with chartered membership through prescribing the qualifying awards and experience

  • Holds candidates to rules and regulations of professional conduct

attractive in your region?

  • Are there any considerations such as licensing that we need to take in

account?

  • Will this proposal in your opinion help the CIOB to reach a wider audience?
  • What should the non chartered grade be called?
