Role of Port Metro Vancouver
- As a port authority, we are mandated by the
Canada Marine Act to facilitate trade and move goods in a safe and sustainable manner.
- The Harbour Master is responsible for
maintaining the fluidity of the supply chain while ensuring the overall safety, environmental protection and security of port
- perations. This includes oversight of all
marine navigation, security and emergency response aspects within Port Metro Vancouver’s jurisdiction.
- Working closely together with other agencies.
