  7. Scholastic Requirements for Eligibility Attendance • Students are expected to be in school the entire day and comply with school rules Grades • Students are expected to receive no “F” grades (K&S or effort) at any time • grades will be checked on game days by coaches

Practice  Location  Outdoor : Bakken Fields or Glacial Drumlin School in Cottage Grove  Indoor: MGHS gym or other school gyms in the district  Tim e  Varsity 4:00-5:45 pm  JV & 9th grade is 4:30 pm – 5:45 pm (due to bus schedule)  Indoor practice times will vary depending on gym availability  A practice bus will be available to transport students to and back from the practice facility  Bus will pick-up by 4:10pm and drop-off at 6:15pm @North Entrance of the High School

  9. Matches All players are expected to attend every game regardless of eligibility. Travel to Site  Players will ride the bus together to all contests Travel after gam e  Students are encouraged to ride the bus with team  If parent would like to drive their OWN child, complete the necessary paperwork and inform the coach PRIOR to leaving MGHS. (Form is on-line)

  10. Ticket Price /Event Pass  Badger Conference ticket price is $4.00 for anyone older than age 5  Athletic Pass (adult or student) • Cost $30 • Good for all home events • Cannot be used for WIAA Tournament Events  Where Can I Purchase a Pass? • Main Office • Athletic Events

  11. Athletic Trainer Erica Klope Athletic Training Room Hours 3-6 PM (M-F) present at all home games **MANDATORY CONCUSSION TESTING: TBD—watch for an email

  12. Varsity lettering policy  Any player who is on the varsity team for more than half of the season will earn a varsity letter.

  13. Preseason trainings The coaches expect all players to be in shape and prepared when the season starts. Here are some opportunities to do so:  Tuesdays, Weds, Thurs 3:45-5:00  Strength training & conditioning  Sundays 9:00-10:30am  Open gym: foot-skills, drills, and scrimmages  UW American Center & Athletic Revolution trainings

  14. Player contract  Each player and parent will be asked to sign a “player contract” at the start of the season.  This contract outlines the expectations for the season and if broken, will result in participation consequences. (see back page in handout)

  16. Booster Club membership All families are asked to join the booster club each year. Each player pays a booster club fee. (This fee is separate/ in addition to the school sport participation fee w hich is $80) This fee includes one pair of required game shorts (hers to keep at the end of the season), 2 pairs of game socks, player’s banquet meal, and will help offset some of the costs below. Booster Club Activities Include Expenses • • Organizing food for away games Player’s Game shorts: 1 pair • • Pasta Dinners by team: 9 th , JV and V Player’s Game Socks - 2 pairs (white & navy) • • Program clothing sale Player’s banquet meal • • Planning Parent’s Night, Senior Player’s game jerseys • Night, Youth Night, Memorial Day Full Zip sideline jackets • Parade, and banquet Senior gifts/parents night/youth night, coach’s gift • • Collecting fan club/corporate Equipment: re-bounder, game/practice balls, donations coach requests • • Varsity Poster Video Camera to tape games • Team water bottles • Technology for stat keeping and game film playback

  17. Clothing All clothing orders are optional! Tonight is the only tim e sam ples will be available to try on! Spiritwear (sweatshirts, t-shirts, sweatpants, zip-ups) • All clothing orders will be done online and use online payment • Please try on the sample sizes tonight • Feel free to order tonight—grab a laptop! Gam e day gear • bag, warm-up---order on website • Extra socks, extra shorts—order tonight and pay check to boosters • Forms in handout

  18. Fundraising We have a few opportunities this season: • America’s Best gift cards • Chipotle Night • Madison Marathon water station

  19. Financial Hardship We realize that all of the fees can add up to a lot, so we’d like to offer financial assistance to any fam ilies who m ight have trouble paying their booster club fees. Please see Chris Nelson or Coach Flesch. This is com pletely confidential!
