“Assessing progress in the implementation process of migration related SDGs” 11-12 October 2016, Geneva

  • IDM, itself multi stakeholder consultation mechanism on

migration, is IOM’s principal platform for policy dialogue which provides a space to analyse current and emerging issues in migration governance and to exchange experiences, policy approaches and effective practices.

  • around 300 participants
  • in-depth discussions on how best to act in a collective and

coordinated way, both at national, regional and international levels, to implement the migration-related SDGs.

  • RCPs reported at IDM for the first time:
  • 4 RCP Chairs (5+5 Dialogue on Migration, Arab RCP,

Puebla Process, and Rabat Process) illustrated how the implementation of the SDGs is seen from a regional prospective and their role in supporting states in this process.
