  3. บทนํา  เนื่องจากเครื่องมือวัดที่ใชในการตรวจวัดสภาพอากาศมีผลกระทบตอความแมนยําและเชื่อถือ ไดของขอมูลจึงจําเปนตองดําเนินการใหแนใจวาเครื่องมือวัดที่ใชในการตรวจวัดสภาพอากาศ สามารถใหผลการวัดที่แมนยําตามความตองการ การสอบเทียบ (Calibration) เปนกิจกรรม ที่จําเปนสําหรับ การทําใหแนใจวาเครื่องมือวัดที่ใชงานยังสามารถทํางานไดอยางแมนยําตามที่ ตองการ

  5. ความหมายของการสอบเทียบ  การสอบเทียบ หมายถึง เปนชุดดําเนินการภายใตสภาวะเฉพาะเพื่อหาคาความสัมพันธระหวาง เครื่องมือวัดเพื่อเปรียบเทียบคาที่รูของปริมาณที่วัด (ซึ่งตองเปนคาที่สามารถอางอิงได) ผล จากการสอบเทียบจะใหขอมูลวาเครื่องมือวัดที่ใชในการตรวจสภาพอากาศยังคงมีคุณลักษณะ ทางดานมาตรวิทยาที่เหมาะสมในการใชงานตอไปหรือไม
