  • To enhance student welfare in view of long school day:

– 35 minutes recess time – 15 minute Snack Break at 12.15 pm – 35 minutes lunch break after school before academic support

Types of Assessment

  • Assessment is integral to the learning process
  • Teachers will conduct formative assessments to check for understanding

throughout the term

  • For non-modular subjects, only one Weighted Assessment (WA) is

conducted in each term (i.e Terms 1 – 3)

  • For modular subjects, marks from each WA will be distributed within the

semester

  • Marks from each WA and End-of-Year Examination (EYE) will be entered in

the MOE School Cockpit System for reporting

  • Examples of WA include: Common Test, Project, Performance Tasks

Tablets) during curriculum hours (7.35 am to 1.50 pm) and after curriculum hours during academic support programme, structured revision and CCA. Such devices should be kept out of sight. Students can

  • nly use it when their teachers require them to do so.
  • For inappropriate use of mobile devices, the school may confiscate the

mobile devise as a disciplinary measure

CCA Policy in BV

  • CCA participation is compulsory for all students in secondary schools with at

  • Allocation of CCA is based on Interest, Talent and available resources.
