Force focusing on the redesign of career and academic planning with an “end goal focused on student experience and preparation for postsecondary success.” ○ Meaningful student activities & experiences vs. career guidance software tool (IHAPI)
○ Quality career guidance opportunities through meaningful career & academic planning ○ Well thought out plan reviewed annually and revised to align with student’s career & academic goals ○ Required for ALL students in grades 8-12
○ Designed by a K-12 team: Superintendent, Curriculum Director, Principals, Counselors, CPDL, Teachers, MCC Intermediary ○ Grade level activities meeting each of the five essential components ○ Software tool for student use, approved by the state to support the district plan ○ District must report out percentage of students who complete each essential component ○ Our plan includes PK-12
