PanBlast Capabilities

The PanBlast operations are fully certified to ISO9001: 2008 quality standard and can offer the following services to OEM customers: Component Manufacturing and Sourcing Onsite and Offsite QC Inspection Services Product Assembly and Manufacturing Product Design and Development Product Field Trials and Performance Assessment To provide the above services, PanBlast typically has internally generated productions drawings, bills of materials and work instructions to control the quality of output. Quality records are kept for every step of the manufacturing and QC inspection process. Almost all of the moulds, fixtures and tooling used for producing components or products are

  • wned by PanBlast with the exception of moulds and tooling on loan to PanBlast by OEM

customers who prefer to own their own mould and tooling. For product design and development projects, cycle times range anywhere from 3 to 24 months, depending on the complexity of the product and type of development required. The PanBlast engineering team is capable of managing a wide array of development projects ranging from “modifications to current product” to “blank sheet designs”. Historically, PanBlast launches 3 to 4 new products per year for its customers.

With an ever changing and increasingly competitive global economic environment, PanBlast required an internationally recognized Quality Management System (QMS) for benchmarking

expectations. An appropriate benchmark is the ISO 9001: 2008 QMS Standard which is used in more than 60 countries worldwide. PanBlast is fully committed to establish, implement and maintain the requirements of such a Standard. The Standard has many facets to ensure service excellence including: Identification and monitoring of key processes and systems. Setting out the responsibilities of top management and other key personnel. The provision of adequate resources and management of these resources. Product realization. This important element requires us to perform work under controlled

  • conditions. These range from having comprehensive customer-related processes through to

completion of our assignments. We have engaged the services of an independent accredited certification body to ensure transparency in our QMS and also to provide feedback on our QMS for further improvements. Every staff member strives to ensure that we are always fully compliant with the standards and the QMS we have built. The company management is fully committed and involved in ensuring the successful implementation of ISO 9001: 2008. It should be emphasized that the ISO 9001: 2008 Standard

Quality Processes

PanBlast operates within the workflow processes certified to ISO9001: 2008 quality standard. All incoming components undergo acceptance sampling inspection per ANSI/ASQC Z1.4-2008 Single Sampling Plan General Inspection Level II using standard AQL=2.5% unless otherwise specified or requested otherwise by our customers. Alternate AQL levels used within the division are 0.0%, 0.65% and 4.0%. All finished goods, service kits and individually sold spare parts undergo 100% QC inspection per work instructions for each product. Recognizing that our customers demand only the best quality, service and prices from us, and taking the cue from Toyota* Production System (TPS), PanBlast has developed an internal process named Product Corrective Action Notice (PCA) to supplement ISO9001: 2008 Corrective Action Request. The PCA process is designed around the TPS requirement of “Build a culture of stopping work to fix problems and to get quality right from the first time”. Under the PCA process within PanBlast, all staff has direct access to senior management in each country for potential quality problems prior to customer delivery. If top management concurs with the findings of the staff, a PCA notice will be immediately broadcast across the company for goods quarantine and isolation to prevent product delivery to customers. Such quarantined products will subsequently be reviewed for disposal under the ISO9001: 2008 quality standard framework.
