Emergency Alerting Program Ashley has provided updates
- The Program Coordinator is working to develop a decentralized
program where local authorities can become Authorized Users and train individuals to use the Alert Ready System.
- It is anticipated a pilot project will begin in early 2020. If your
community is interested in becoming a Participant in the AlertMB Program, contact Manitoba EMO.
- Manitoba EMO continues to participate in National level
discussions and decisions regarding the development and ongoing changes to the Alert Ready System.
- The next emergency alert test message is scheduled to take place
in May, 2020. Date and time TBD.
- The Program Coordinator will be presenting at the DMC on the
AlertMB Program if they would like to learn more.
