The Need The Need

EARLY LEARNING

Currently there is no High School

  • ption with an on-site early learning

center for students. In the county there are 30,000 kids 0-5 with only 1 1 ,000 early learning spots available.

EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT

The teen parent dropout rate is 45- 50%. Of those graduating with a diploma or GED less than 40% pursue post secondary options.

Lumen High School provides educational access coupled with a specialized early learning center and wrap around supports to meet the layered needs of teen parents in Spokane. LHS is rooted in belonging, social justice and the empowerment
