Cooperation Agreements LBUS has more than 68 cooperation agreements with universities from: • Europe (Germany, France, Austria, Spain etc.) • Asia (China, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia); • South America (Argentina, Chile, Brazil); • U SA, Canada.  Also Lucian Blaga University is part of different consortiums along with countries like France, Austria, Germany, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Hungary etc.

  15. Other events Christmas  On the occasion of winter holidays, representatives of LBUS and Erasmus coordinators have been invited to a Christmas carols concert performed by the incoming Erasmus students.

Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Windows  Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu is partner in the – international project Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Windows – in order to enhance the quality of European higher education and to promote dialogue and understanding between people and cultures through cooperation with third countries.  LBUS is the first Romanian university involved in such a programmes and this programme has like action area asian countries, like: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Cambodia, Philippines. In 2009/2010, LBUS hosted: 4 teachers 19 students

European Economic Area (EEA) The Financial Mechanism EEA The main objective of the Financial Mechanism EEA is to support  the economical and social development of Romania, as a member state of the European Economic Area, according to the national priorities and the cooperation agreements with the European Union. During the academic year 2009 – 2010, two students from LBUS  benefited of EEA grants in:  Iceland  Liechtenstein

  19. Programmes with structural funds  The Department of International Relations has been involved and has supported other departments and faculties of LBUS in filling out the applications for European structural funds projects.

  20. Erasmus Intensive Language Course The course tries to make  the students acquainted with: The general aspects of:  phonetics, morphology, syntax and the vocabulary of the Romanian language; The main values of the  Romanian culture and civilization.
