The higher variation in 2014 is due to the launch of 2 new routes (first in the middle of June and the second one in October) which increased traffic in the second half of 2014.

Start-up Aid for New Destinations from SBZ As of 2013 SIBIU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT together . with Sibiu County Council are sustaining public selection procedures for granting financial aid to airline companies for "OPENING NEW ROUTES DEPARTING FROM SIBIU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT" - Two new routes have been introduced following the selection procedures, by WIZZ AIR : SBZ – London Luton , as of June, 14 th , 2014 and SBZ – Dortmund , starting with Oct 26 th , 2014. - Preferred destinations (not to be limited to): - More Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Rome, Venice, Verona, aid Milan, Paris, Bruxelles. - More flights - Based on an annual budget available, we provide - More state aid compensation to airlines, up to 50% of the you company ’ s airport fees for a number of maximum 3 years of operations.
