measurements, LV/LV transformers, automation systems). Regardless of the application, the column of a DISMOD-T3 switchboard is divided into 4 partitioned zones:

  • main busbar area (position 1) –

situated in the top rear part of the column for In≤ 3200A or in the rear part for In=4000A/5000A;

  • switchgear area (position 2) –

located in the front part of the column; the space designated to each functional unit is vertically defjned as a number of 175mm high modules;

  • distribution busbar area (position 3)

– always at the rear of switchgear area;

  • cables connection area (position 4)

– located in the right-side area of the column. 9

SLIDE 24

400/230 VAC and 48...220 VDC auxiliary services supply cabinets

Auxiliary services supply cabinets are designed for feeding low voltage

  • wn consumers from:
  • 400/220/110/20(6kV) power

stations;

  • Hydropower plants;
  • Thermo power plants.

Own services consumers can be fed with AC power supply (400/230VAC) (except the consumers for which, due to security reasons, lower voltage is mandatory)

  • r with DC power supply, usual

voltages being 24, 48, 110, 220 VDC. DC own consumers:

  • protection devices;
  • automation units;
  • interlocks;
  • metering, measuring and

signalling devices;

  • remote terminal units;
  • emergency lighting.

Usually the cabinet has two independent AC power supplies provided by auxiliary service

  • transformers. The cabinet has two

single busbar systems coupled through a bus-tie. Automatic source changeover can be provided at request. The DC auxiliary services cabinet have the same confjguration except the power supplies which are usually provided by battery systems. AC own consumers usually are:

  • transformers and

autotransformers cooling systems;

  • voltage regulation equipment;
  • battery chargers;
  • battery ventilation systems;
  • operating mechanism for breakers

and switches;

  • fjre alarm system;
  • lighting equipments;
  • heating equipments;
  • AC circuits for metering,

protection, automation. 22

  • utgoing circuits.

Measured parameters can be transmitted to other control centres, using convertors (transducers) with 4…20 mA unifjed signal or through communication network (Modbus, Profjbus or other transmission protocols).

Cabinet architecture

  • usually, AC/DC auxiliary services

supply cabinets are realized in

  • ne or more associated steel

enclosures with transparent doors, allowing visual access of the equipment without opening the door.

  • equipments are mounted on

a mounting plate located in the backside of the enclosure, access being possible from the front side

  • f the cabinet.
  • on request and according to the

application type, equipments can be mounted on both sides of the mounting panel. In these cases front/rear access is provided.

  • metering devices, control and

signalling equipments are mounted on dedicated hinged front plates located in the upper part of the cabinet.

  • the cable entry is done through

the lower side of the cabinet, through dedicated gland plates. On request, the cable access is possible through the top part of the cabinet.

  • switchboard lighting, opening,

16A/230V a.c. outlet, heating element with thermal control are provided as standard.

  • the cabinets are fmoor mounting

type; 100mm or 200mm high plinths are available.

  • Romanian language labelling

(other languages on request) is provided.

  • RAL 7035 powder paint colour

fjnishing.

Cabinet presentation

  • one or more steel enclosures

with transparent doors, with front or front/rear access (by request).

  • distribution system made with

copper bars and fjxed busbar supports, located in the top part

  • f the cabinet, protected against

direct contact.

  • withdrawable circuit breakers

for incoming feeders (from transformers or rectifjers/ batteries), with auxiliary contact for open/close/tripped signalling, with manual or remote control.

  • circuit breakers for outgoings

fjxed or withdrawable (most common case), with auxiliary contacts.

  • metering devices: ammeter,

voltmeter, power factor meter, frequency meter, etc.

  • insulation fault detectors.
  • local control and signalling

equipment’s: pushbuttons, lamps, position indicators.

  • connection terminals for

power and control and signalling circuits. 23
