Little Tembo We are different. Not less. Our campaign aims to raise awareness of the dangers that people with albinism in face daily in Tanzania. By selling children’s t-shirts, we will also be raising money to give to Upendo wa Mama. Upendo wa Mama could then collaborate with us to help create and supply the fabrics. 01
Sharing The Message The face of our brand and campaign is an elephant. They are very maternal creatures who are hunted for their ivory. There are many links between elephants with albinism and people with albinism. We thought using an elephant is our icon, would be appealing and relatable to young children. Our slogan is a simple and memorable way for people to understand our message. We are about bringing people together and accepting differences to help reduce the stigma. 02
Our Goals We hope to set up a pop up stall in our university. This would allow us to get our name and message out there. To advertise our pop up stall, we are creating online and printed media. Along with our t-shirts, we will be selling a children’s storybook. The storyline follows an albino elephant who is missing a tusk because of poachers. It is lighthearted way of introducing the topic to children. 03
