SITE CONDITIONS

WEATHER CONDITIONS Very wet weather and storm events May, June and July, The remainder of the project timeline the weather was fairly good. SITE ACCESS, LOCATION EASY OR DIFFICULT Of the 7km of pipeline, 6km was either on the road shoulder (of a country road) or in the laneway. Many issues with traffic management and the need for constant Hawkins Site Manager attention. GROUND CONDITIONS Varied greatly both vertically and along the alignment. Some sections were clean dune sand which made for unstable trenches for which shields were required over 1.5m deep.
