Working at Height on Mobile Refrigeration Unit Guidance

  • Endorsed by HSE and gained primary authority assurance in July 2017,
  • BFFF given eighteen months to evidence best practice within the industry,
  • We helped support and develop several access solutions which are available to prevents falls from

height,

  • These solutions will be showcased at the Work at Height seminar on 4th October,
  • Solutions to be illustrated in the appendix of the original guidance before submitting for assurance in

February 2019

RIDDOR Distinction Guidance (V3)

Our members asked us for a structured decision making process in determining if an accident is reportable or not.

  • We collated many ‘Grey’ RIDDOR’s from our membership were their had be uncertainty
  • We drafted a guidance document and flow chart focusing on the following questions:

I. Describe how the way the work was carried out and how this played a significant role in the accident? II. Describe how any machinery, plant, substances and equipment used for the work played a significant role in the accident?

  • III. Describe how the conditions of the site or premises played a significant role in the accident?
  • The document is now with Wakefield awaiting PA assurance (Only covers ‘RI’ at present)
