When do we go?

  • All pupils will be leaving on Monday 3rd

October and shall be returning on Friday 7th October.

  • Pupils will need to arrive promptly, at

the normal time on the day of departure.

Day of departure

  • Arrive at school with their bag that they need

to be able to carry.

  • Weather dependant, pupils will bring bags to

the top of the drive, outside year 5 classrooms.

  • Medicine should be named and in a separate

carrier bag or sandwich bag, to be handed to a member of staff once in school.

  • We will be leaving at approx 9.30am.
  • Parents are to leave their cars at the bottom
  • f the drive.

Day of return

  • All pupils will return to school at

approximately 2.30pm.

  • Parents are welcome to collect their

children at this time.

  • For your child’s safety, we need to

register the children that are going home early, and would appreciate your cooperation at this busy period!

  • Any pupils that can not be collected, will

remain in school, until the end of the school day.

Groups

  • Staff will put the pupils into groups for

their activities.

  • During free time, pupils will be able to

socialise with children from other groups.

Activities

  • These include:-
  • Canoeing
  • Climbing
  • Archery
  • High ropes
  • Caving
  • Search and rescue
  • BMXing
  • CHORES!

Activities are supervised by fully qualified instructors.

Sleeping Arrangements

  • Pupils are in dormitories.
  • They will to bring a single duvet cover

and a pillow case.

  • They will need to practice putting on

duvet covers and making beds.

  • Staff are in dormitories nearby.
  • There is a resident senior instructor on

duty each evening and overnight.

Equipment

  • Kit list to be provided.
  • Old and warm clothes are essential.
  • Waterproof coat.
  • Wellies.
  • Favourite teddy and book?
  • £10 pocket money in change please. Must be

in a labelled purse/wallet or envelope.

  • Please do not bring any food or valuables

[including mobile phones or hand held games/tablet/kindles].

  • A camera (preferably a disposable one) if

wanted.

Meals

  • Pupils are given a choice of meals each

day, at each meal time [including a vegetarian option].

  • Please let staff know of any dietary

needs so we can pass this onto the centre.

week.
