  5. 14 PLUS BACKGROUND – Siobhan Gribben 2010 • The Employability Service was established and embedded and has provided a range of support services to 16 Plus staff and young people alike including increased partnership working with services both at regional and local level with a shared vision of working towards an improvement in the educational attainment. 2017/2018 • 16 Plus Service transitioned to 14 Plus Service hence encompassing LAC YR 11 & 12 Key Stage 4. • LAC Educational Support Worker appointed within Employability Service with a key aim to develop an educational support service. • Scoping exercise undertaken and included significant input from key stakeholders including young people/service users, 14 Plus Teams, Schools, Educational Authority and Foster Carers’ etc in terms of establishing best practice and in identifying key areas for project support to be provided via an educational support service. • Service Development initiated and on-going

  6. 14 PLUS Core Objectives/Deliverables The following deliverables were identified via the scoping exercise: Strengthen Multi-disciplinary Implementation of Training and Education: working and Relationships Management Information Schools, Social Work Staff between Schools, Social Work Systems to Monitor/Review Staff, Foster Carers and and Foster Carers Educational Progress for LAC CAMHS/Scaffold Formulation of Guidance Strengthen Careers In/Out of School Enhanced Documentation on School Advice/Pathway Planning for Support including tuition Processes and Procedures LAC and Revision Timetabling for use within Social Services Creative and Innovative Utilisation of the PEP as Mentoring Support delivered Approaches in the Delivery Fundamental Working by LAC Education Support of Compulsory Education for Document to Identify Need Worker LAC at key Stage 4 and Monitor Progress
