- Technologies in the energy field or have an energy application.
- Only a maximum of two technologies per group can apply
- Each technology presented to the call must have the authorisation to participate by
the head of the research group or the principal investigator identified as a representative for the XRE4S.
- There must be a person/team committed to assist the meetings and reply to the
requests of the consultants for each technology.
Application form and deadline of submissions

Selection and evaluation of applications
- Only 20 technologies can participate to L2M phase 1
- The committee of experts of the XRE4S will evaluate each application
under the criteria set out below:
– Technology is eligible per Section 4 of the call. – Technology displays novelty and potential for disruption in products, processes or services in the energy industry or energy related improvements in other sectors – Technology has Intellectual Property protection or potential for protection that might aid in commercialization – Technology market potential – Other aspects may be considered:
- Technology has a potential impact on society
- Technology addresses gender perspective in the energy transition

Objective of the First Phase
Solicit, evaluate and select promising technologies from XRE4S institutes for further Commercialization potential
Major steps will be:
Identify and Collect Technologies from XRE4S researchers Select First Batch
- f Technologies
for Pre- Assessment Conduct Pre- Assessment of individual technologies to identify those with best commercializatio n potential
Process and deadlines
Solicit technologies Interested researchers submit information via a technology fact sheet XRE4S committee of experts selects the top submissions for the PreAssessment by July 1 Each selected technology is evaluated for technology, market and intellectual property potential, including via interactive reviews with researchers (July 15-Sept 15) Results and recommendations provided to XRE4S research groups MAY

Submission of the Technology Fact Sheets
The Technology Fact Sheet is prepared by a knowledgeable member of the research group The Rules for participation are presented earlier Some questions on the form are factual and some are speculative In general, the more effort put into the fact sheet, the more likely we can produce something of value both to the researcher and to XRE4S The reader will be knowledgeable about energy but possibly not an expert in your field, so carefully consider the level of detail and technical terms
