Pre-Construction /Design Progress Updates KHS Main Renovations Package – Second Phase: • KSQ and their consultants have finalized the contract documents and program needs for the secondary phase of work on the Main Building Package. 2013 Bond – Follow Up Design Initiatives 6 Dec. 2012 • KSQ has submitted these documents to the NYSED. • The NYSED project review time frame is currently projecting to take approximately 8 to 9 months. • These documents will continue to be reviewed by the project team while under NYSED 2013 Bond – Follow Up Design Initiatives 6 Dec. 2012 review. • Secondary phase of work will commence upon regeneration of funds as mandated by the. • Bid NYSED dates to be established upon NYSED project approval and regeneration of funds. On-Going Project Team Pre-Construction/Design Tasks: • Continuous updating of project costs for current / future work packages along with FFE costs. • Contacting perspective trade specific contractor to ensure contractor awareness and participation for upcoming bid packages. • Continue to monitor the bidding climate and reacting accordingly. • Tracking and updating District phasing requirements and needs. Construction Progress Updates • Contractors are utilizing the Christmas Break (12/25/17 through 1/1/18) to complete work throughout the High School campus. • General Contractor continuing to work on deficient items at the Field House. 2013 Bond – Follow Up Design Initiatives 6 Dec. 2012 • Contractors working on the Main Mechanical punchlist. • Cafeteria work is finishing in preparation of December 22, 2017 turnover to KCSD. • Final inspections for the elevator and fire alarms 2013 Bond – Follow Up Design Initiatives 6 Dec. 2012 • Kitchen equipment installation is complete – Consultant completing final review of installation on December 18 th . • Cafeteria tile work is nearing completion. • Casework installation ongoing • Furniture delivery on December 18 th . • Department of Heath final inspection December 22 nd . • Salzmann South Addition work is ongoing with installation of concrete, steel and rebar. • Cleanup of MJM demolition continues. • Renovations are taking place in the balance of the unoccupied Salzmann areas.
