Bilingual Services

There are two program options for students who qualify for EL (English Learner) services.

  • Two-Way Immersion (TWI): TWI is a K-5

Spanish/English dual language program. The goal of the program is for all students to become bilingual and biliterate.

  • English as a Second Language (ESL): The ESL

program is designed for students who speak low-incidence languages at home. Students in the ESL program attend general education classrooms, but receive additional academic support from an ESL teacher during the school day.

If your child qualifies for EL services, the Bilingual Department will recommend a program that best fits your child’s needs.
