What is the process for Registration?

  • Complete Registration Online (April - August)

○ Families will need to log into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal to complete registration process ○ New families will be emailed login instructions ○ Kiosks will be available at the District Office and schools for parents who do not have access to the Internet ○ Health forms (immunizations, physical, eye/dental) are due August 20th, 2018 (forms can be dropped off at District Office during the summer)

DUAL LANGUAGE LOTTERY SELECTION

Selection Criteria

  • English Learners (ELs)--who speak Spanish as primary home language--are

automatically invited to participate in the dual language program in K-8

  • Screened students who are proficient in English & Spanish are also automatically

invited to participate in the program

  • Any other District 112 student may apply for the dual language program via lottery

(if accepted, will be assigned to a school with dual language programming)

  • English proficient students with siblings in the program receive first priority
  • Green Bay Preschool Dual Language students receive second priority

TRANSPORTATION

  • District-provided free bus transportation to all K-8

students residing 1.5 miles or more from home schools, or residing less than 1.5 miles from assigned school where walking to school constitutes a serious hazard as determined by the Illinois Department of Transportation

  • Students not eligible for free transportation may

be allowed--for a fee--to ride the bus based on available space

  • Transportation request must be received no later

than July 1 for a pick-up and/or drop-off location different than the home address

  • An annual Kindergarten trial bus run is offered to

all bus riders

  • Current Lincoln parents will be informed by the end
  • f the current school year whether their child is

eligible for transportation

  • The bus route information letter will be sent to

families ten days before the first day of school

  • District 112 provides special education

transportation for students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) whose needs require special education transportation as a related service
