  23. ENDOWMENT UPDATE

  24. Strength to Strength • From a place of strength --- – We have always had strong clergy and staff – Congregation is strong – We have beautiful facilities – We are committed to the future • We are pushing into our Vision Statement “We aspire to provide a dynamic center for Jewish religious, cultural and educational life in Charlotte .”

  25. Building on our Past We Move to the Future • Building on our strengths – A strong board and new President – Strong Community of Leaders – Over 1100 families strong — the backbone of our strength – Our beautiful facility • Entering the next period of new and renewed Strength

  26. Building Strength for the Future • The new clergy with strong connections to each of us as congregants will begin to move us to a strong and sustainable future • Part of the vision is to always be able to – Have the best clergy and staff – And to continue to maintain our beautiful home

  27. Strength To Strength • Original Building Campaign was to include additional endowment • Now is the time to raise an additional $2 million

  28. Why Now? • To allow ourselves the ability to continue to have strong clergy and staff leadership • To continue to meet our obligation to always have a well maintained Temple facility • To provide more diversification of our revenue stream – provides some room for the fluctuations that can occur in our annual Sacred Gifts commitments • And, “If not now, when?”

  29. How we will succeed • By having 100% participation • By having many of you volunteer to help and be part of the team • By having a 3 year payout period • Lay leadership leading the campaign (Annie Lord and I) Most importantly is having each of you with us in this endeavor. AND the important role each of us must play in supporting this reform congregation, in this place, at this time.

  30. Begin With the End In Mind! • So we have asked each board member to make a commitment and we have 100% participation!!!!! • We have asked a small number of donors who already have said “yes”! WE ALREADY HAVE $300,000 COMMITTED!!!!!
