Feasibility Study (METI) & MoE (only for the city-to-city) Project (MoE & METI)

Some aspects to be considered in proposing an FS or project are:

  • The activities: Reduction/removal of GHG emission within the JCM sectoral scope
  • Located within Republic of Indonesia
  • The FS or project should be able to be measured, reported and verified
  • The project has to be collaboration between Japanese and Indonesian entities
  • Deployment of state of art technology
  • Potential participant can learn from the completed JCM FS as a reference

Steps to Develop JCM Projects

Develop business idea Find Japanese partner Develop consortium (Joint Venture etc.) Apply JCM financing programme and develop methodology

  • Secure finance other than JCM, or
  • Find another financial source for the rest of initial cost (JCM financing

programs will not cover all cost, e.g. JCM Model Project covers less than half

  • f the investment cost)
  • Through workshops and secretariat
  • Project Idea Note
  • Contact Japanese companies in the JCM Database, JCM

webpages,etc.

  • Business forums, associations, Japanese business

websites e.g. http://ibo.jcci.or.jp/ Japanese entity submits application (in Japanese)
