Campus Plan Approval Process

Draft Campus Plan Submit for SUNY Approval 30 Day Stakeholder Notification Submit to ESD for Approval

  • Identify spaces for designation, business types sought, academic alignment, economic

and community benefits, and business selection process

  • Provide maps, floor plans and Excel file of designated space
  • Submit to Startupny@rfsuny.org
  • Review Team members will meet and discuss plan to make sure program

requirements are met

  • Feedback provided to campus including any necessary changes or updates if not

ready for approval

  • Send all stakeholders a copy of the approved plan
  • Maintain evidence of notifications and record any comments

received

  • Submit full plan including Excel file and evidence of

stakeholder notification to Designations@esd.ny.gov

  • ESD will put approved plan onto the Start-UP

*Campus Plan Amendments follow the same process

Business Applications

  • Campuses review for alignment

and approve/deny based on process established in campus plan

  • Submit directly to the

Commissioner of ESD who has 60-days to review for rejection
