The purpose of this presentation to AESA members is to examine and identify how the activation of the Soteria feature set (real-time adaptive speeding, reckless driving, accident and diagnostic alerts) will enhance the safety, savings and efficiency of the school bus fleets across the United States. This report also provides an example of the detailed technical data recorded through the Soteria devices in live-time.

Innovative Technology for Transportation, with the results from completed pilot programs, has validated the increase in overall pupil transportation safety as well as the savings associated with decreased insurance, fuel and diagnostic costs directly linked with Soteria’s implementation.

Soteria is device and software platform that interfaces with vehicles and fleet directors. Compliant with vehicles manufactured after 1996, Soteria can be installed into cars, trucks, white vans, and school buses. The ability to simultaneously interpret high-level data and prevent leading causes of accidents in real time. Furthermore, customers can select which features and parameters they want to activate in order to best manage their student transportation

Accessible Proactive

Proven, patented technology that either mitigates or prevents speeding, cellular distractions, and reckless driving. Data generated from pilot programs across the nation validate the safety and savings performance of Soteria in comparison with existing market competitors.

Alerts can be sent and a maximum speed can be set so a driver never goes over that. Speed Prevention & Alerts

Select Cellular Access

Ability to stop access to the phone or select apps that cannot be used while driving

With our speed prevention feature, fleet administrators can activate an adaptive speed

accelerate to the speed threshold they have selected. This adapts to each road to ensure drivers are always driving the speed limit.

Upcoming Features.

Soteria allows fleet administrators to completely block access to a phone while the vehicle is in motion, or choose the specific apps that can be used, such as navigation and the call feature.

“How can I express in words what it means to give schools the opportunity to see inside the community of a bus ride from a different angle. To make a bus safer and more efficient is by far one of the most important pieces of information a school can have ... Thank you for thinking of all the tomorrows – how to keep our kids safe. It matters.”

automotive accidents occur from speeding, reckless driving, and cellular-distractions. In real time, Soteria elevates transportation safety to a premier level by mitigating these causes of accidents.

Value Provided by Soteria

Safety

Soteria leads to significant savings in operational

fuel costs each year. Preventive maintenance notifications from Soteria eliminate the cost of service and repair charges. Soteria also reduces accident liability and insurance premiums for users.

Savings

The implementation process for Soteria is seamless and completed within seconds. Regardless of the size and types of vehicles within a student transportation fleet, Soteria will improve the operational safety and savings from the moment
