Netflix is an internet entertainment app. On internet-connected screens. Provides new consumer experiences. Able to rapidly innovate. People love films and series, but they don't love traditional TV experience.
Creativity new stories / new audiences
Netflix is films and series, commercial-free, for an affordable monthly fee. Not news, user generated, sports, gaming, etc. Also, Netflix is global, not local or foreign. Opportunity to pursue new stories and new audiences.
Netflix is on leading edge of shift from linear TV to internet entertainment apps. Specifics of Netflix’s business are not universal features of this shift. Need to distinguish the two.
