  • The CRU published a Decision on Reporting and Incentives under PR4 last year, setting 20 decisions to improve

reporting and incentives arrangements. One of the new incentives – stakeholder engagement – applies separately to TSO & DSO.

  • A Panel made of reps from suppliers, generators, academia and communities will assess and score the quality,

good implementation and effectiveness of the TSO and DSO stakeholder engagement’s strategies for the previous

  • year. The score will directly impact on the incentive revenue the TSO and DSO earn.

CRU Consultation on the Panel

  • The CRU is consulting on the proposed Terms of Reference of the Panel – consultation closes on 15 March.
  • As part of the consultation, the CRU is also seeking to appoint the members of the Panel.
  • The CRU would really appreciate if you could check the Consultation on the Terms of Reference of the NSEE Panel

and express your interest to be a member of the Panel.

  • Please contact Esther Fructuoso Márquez, at either phone (0) 1 4000 834 and/or EFructuoso@cru.ie

  • UK will become a “3rd country” from a GDPR perspective in the event of a No Deal Brexit.
  • In accordance with GDPR, additional safeguards need to be put in place for transfers of personal data

from the EU to the UK

ESBN Approach

  • Based on Legal Advice
  • “Standard Contractual Clauses” aka “Model Clauses” between ESBN and Market Participants – these

clauses are standard text produced by the EU.

  • Given the time available ESBN has decided to implement the Standard Contractual Clause on a

unilateral basis

  • ESBN will publish the “Standard Contractual Clause” via RMDS and write to each affected Market

Participant

  • The Standard Contractual Clause will come into effect and be binding on Market Participants in the

event of a No Deal Brexit
