- First two years agreed & delivered, challenging for final year savings
- During this period 2 loans received from the Council, both repaid in full
- Unrestricted Reserve now stands at £282,933 (£133,199 in 16/17)
- The above figure includes our unrestricted funds for developments, improvements, etc.
- Charity Commission advice is that Reserves should be c.£950,000

Future Plans
- Maximisation of income and control of expenditure
- Strengthen and increase our partnerships

- Expand our hospitality offer and look at establishing our Trading company to increase

- Complete our strategic marketing review and implement recommendations
- Review our organisational structure and associated policies to ensure our workforce
is ready for the challenges ahead
- Play a major role in the Pennine Lancashire programme ‘Towards an Active Future’
- Work in partnership with Action for Children to develop 3 to 4 year project proposal
for Sport England Families Fund based in Thompson Park
- Deliver the Sport England funded cycling project in Thompson Park

- Develop Towneley Golf Courses and Clubhouse to increase the commercial revenues
and control expenditure
- Develop plans to refurbish and extend Towneley Golf Clubhouse
- Look to update the fitness equipment across at St. Peter’s
- Awaiting outcome of Prairie Sports Village bid for a second 3G Pitch and improvements
to parking and driving range
- Awaiting outcome of Heritage Lottery Fund bid to further develop the Mechanics
building by bringing the basement back into full use and improve other areas including toilets
- Investigate the opportunity to work closer with Towneley Hall
- Provide prevention and early intervention and targeted community interventions in
relation to weight management and physical activity.
- Develop self-referral pathways to break down the barriers to accessing activities and to
encourage greater individual self-care and responsibility
