burnleyleisure.co.uk • Develop Towneley Golf Courses and Clubhouse to increase the commercial revenues and control expenditure • Develop plans to refurbish and extend Towneley Golf Clubhouse • Look to update the fitness equipment across at St. Peter’s • Awaiting outcome of Prairie Sports Village bid for a second 3G Pitch and improvements to parking and driving range • Awaiting outcome of Heritage Lottery Fund bid to further develop the Mechanics building by bringing the basement back into full use and improve other areas including toilets • Investigate the opportunity to work closer with Towneley Hall • Provide prevention and early intervention and targeted community interventions in relation to weight management and physical activity. • Develop self-referral pathways to break down the barriers to accessing activities and to encourage greater individual self-care and responsibility In partnership with Burnley Council
