It reveals to you who you truly are, and how to get the most out of your life. It also gives you an accurate map to better understand, better communicate, and be more loving with others – including your clients and colleagues! 2

They initiate! • Challenges : Energy is non sustainable; it comes in bursts. Can burn out if they don’t rest. • Anger. Strategy: Inform people what you’re up to before you take Famous Manifestors: Al Gore, George Bush, action. Eric Clapton, Jack Nicholson, Maya Angelou 4

Generator • 37% of population. • Steady, masterful, responsive. • Have sustainable life and work force energy. • Role : True builders of the world. • Challenges : Cannot initiate, have to WAIT to respond • Need to do what they love or they will burn out. • Frustration. Famous Generators: Albert Einstein, Strategy: Wait to respond Dali Lama, Madonna, Bill Clinton 5 Manifesting Generator • 33% of population. • Fast moving, love to multi-task, also provide work force energy. • Role : Also true builders in world. Love to work. • Challenges : Can skip steps. Hard to keep up with. Don’t focus on just one thing at a time. • Frustration or anger. Strategy: Wait to respond, and INFORM others before taking action Famous Manifesting Generators: Angelina Jolie, Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump 6

Projector • 20% of population. • Rest, play, then take action! • Role : Here to manage, guide and direct others (WHEN INVITED). • Challenges : Struggle to keep up with Generators, can be seen as bossy or ‘lazy.’ • Don’t know when enough is enough, burnout. • Bitterness. Strategy: Wait to be invited, especially Famous Projectors: Brad Pitt, Princess for big things: Relationship, Diana, Barack Obama,Nelson Mandala career/work opportunities, place to live. 7 Reflector • 1% of population. • Magnify and reflect back all that is around them. They are mirrors for their community. • Must be with the right people. • Role : Wise observer. Canary in the coal mine. • Challenges : If they are in wrong environment, they suffer. People need to be patient with them. • Disappointment. Strategy: Wait 28 days or more Famous Reflectors: Michael Jackson, to make a decision. Talk it H.G. Wells, Jimmy Carter, Amma through with others they trust. 8

  5. Communication Manifestor: Needs a lot of freedom to do their thing and stay in the creative flow. DON’T tell them what to do or ask them yes/no questions. Ask them curious questions like “I wonder if….” and inform them what you’re up to. Generator They are busy doing what they love to do (or frustrated if not doing what they love). Don’t tell them what to do. Ask them yes/no questions to wake up their inner authority. Manifesting Generator Needs a lot of freedom to create and stay in flow. They are VERY busy following their passion. Don’t tell them what to do, ask them yes/no questions, and inform them what you’re up to. Projector Needs to be recognized and invited, then talk until they get clear. Very sensitive. Ask them open-ended questions. Ask for their insights. They will teach you! Reflector VERY sensitive. Needs consistency. It takes time for them to make decisions. DON’T rush 9 them. Listen, ask open ended questions, and let them find their answers. Nine Energy Centers The Nine Human Design Centers roughly correspond to the Seven Chakras. Each center is responsible for processing specific energies. Head: Center for inspiration, always under pressure to answer questions…why, how, when? Ajna: Center for awareness. Its function is to research, collect and store data, and conceptualize. Throat : Center for communication and manifestation into action. G or Identity Center: Center for love and direction, the place where the soul lives. Will/Heart/Ego: Motorized center for creating and allocating physical resources. Energetically this center is all about value, business management, and energy to get things done through willpower and endurance. Emotional Solar Plexus: Motorized Center for emotional energy that fluctuates in waves. Root: Center for adrenaline energy. This is a pressure center that operates in pulses. Spleen: Center for health, survival-based intuition and time. Also center for fear of survival. Sacral: Most powerful motorized Center. As energy for work force and life force energy reside here, it is associated with reproduction, everything to do with raising a family and taking care of your tribe. 10

  6. Definition and Openness • Defined centers are colored in. The energy in these centers is fixed and consistent. This energy is always there for you and radiates out to and impacts others. Think of definition as a transmitter, sending energy outwards. • Open or undefined centers are white. The energy in these centers is inconsistent, mutable, and receptive. In these centers you take in energy and information and amplify it outwards. Think of openness as a receiver, receiving energy inwards and amplifying it out. 11 Profiles Profiles: How you learn and move through the world 6 Hexagram Lines 1- The Investigator 2- The Hermit 3- The Martyr (Experiencer) 4- The Opportunist 5- The Heretic 6- The Role Model Sample Profiles 2/4 Hermit/Opportunist 5/2 Heretic/Hermit 1/3 Investigator/Experiencer 12

  7. Put this into Practice! Review your Type and practice your Strategy! Honor others’ Types and Strategies. Tips – Generators and Manifesting Generators : To help you make a decision, ask someone to ask you yes/no questions, and use your “uh-huh”, “uh-uh” response. Manifestors : Inform others what you’re up to before you dive in. Projectors : WAIT to be recognized and invited before you share your wisdom. Invite others to ask you open-ended questions, and allow your intuition to respond. Reflectors : Be super patient with yourself, and surround yourself with people who get you. Feel into your Open and Defined Centers. Tips – If you have a Defined Emotional Solar Plexus , be aware of your emotional waves. Allow yourself to experience the ups and downs, and honor your emotional authority. If you are Open in your Emotional Solar Plexus , be aware of emotions that arise.
