Ignite Group Presentation

DUE Students will design and present Ignite presentations in groups of 3-5 in accordance with the following adapted formula: 3 students, 3 minutes, 12 slides, 15 seconds per slide (on auto-advance) 4 students, 4 minutes, 16 slides, 15 seconds per slide (on auto-advance) 5 students, 5 minutes, 20 slides, 15 seconds per slide (on auto-advance) In accordance with Ignite traditions, students will simply adhere to the traditional motto: “Enlighten Us, But Make It Quick.” Choose a topic that you would like your audience to consider deeply and perhaps even take action on. Ignite presentations across the nation in the last few years have centered on topics, statements, or phrases such as: The Best Day of Your Life How to Solve a Song with Math Embracing Awkwardness Embrace Beauty Everyday How to Ride Your Bike Across America Why Smart Is Stupid Make the World Suck Less What Would Kermit Do? If You Ran The World, What Would You Do? Science is Ruining My Childhood You’ll Never Watch Star Wars the Same Again Remember, these can address compelling global issues, but are just as often humorous or event satirical. Your job as a group will be to make sure the speech and presentation (which will be auto-advanced) coincide seamlessly. This will take scripting and practice.
