To configure with help of SCL file and SICAM PAS file (way c): Copy the SCL file to editor folder for 61850 configuration (EDITACE\61850). Rename copied file to form CfgNNNN.scd, where NNNN is the number of Mikrodispecink system assigned to this IEC 61850 configuration. The cid extension can be used instead of scd. Copy the XML file from SICAM PAS to the same folder as SCL file. Rename copied file to form IECNNNN.xml, where NNNN is the number of Mikrodispecink system assigned to this IEC 61850 configuration. Copy configuration of IEC 60870-5-104 protocol from SCADA Mikrodispecink to HMI Mikrodispecink.

IEC 61850 in the ELVAC products Work in progress – available at the end of year Future plans Work in progress: IEC 61850 client for connecting ELVAC RTUs to external devices. It will complement current support for IEC 60870-5-103, DNP3, Modbus protocols. It will allow to read data from IEC 61850 protections and to control them. Connection to controlling system (SCADA) will be realized by already existing ways – by IEC 60870-5-10x, DNP3 protocols. Possibility to deploy to existing COMIO-PC2 hardware (and therefore into RTUs already in the field). Configured by “RTU User Center” application.

IEC 61850 in the ELVAC products Future plans: IEC 61850 server, goose messaging. It will allow to fully integrate the ELVAC RTUs to the IEC 61850 infrastructure. For instance it will allow the ELVAC RTU to communicate to the IEC 61850 HMI. The new hardware (communication card) is needed. Temporarily called COMIO-PC3. COMIO-PC3 will have two ethernet ports. This will allow to implement IEC 62439-3 protocol (Parallel Redundancy Protocol). Configured by “RTU User Center” application or on the web interface of the RTU itself.
