IEC 61238, section 6.3.4 demands short-circuit tests where current level should raise the connector temperature between 250 °C and 270 °C
IEC 61238 is the international standard about connectors for power cables for rated voltages up to 30 kV Depending
the connector’s section the current needed to raise the temperature could be higher than 25 kA
