OUR MENTAL HEALTH CAMPAIGN WHAT IS THE CAMPAIGN?

  • 10 top tips for parents and

carers.

  • We want to educate and

advise parents and carers about how to communicate with their young people about mental health and emotional well being.

  • Tips have been summarised

into 10 short phrases that will be shared as part of the social media campaign with further support on the Open For Parents website.

  • The campaign was inspired by

a previous ESYC campaign: 10 tips for teachers to support their students’ mental health and emotional wellbeing.

HOW DID WE DO IT?

  • Survey of young people and

parents about attitudes and

  • pinions on mental
  • Analysis showed young people

and parents had different views

  • We then developed 10 tips with

the Seaford Youth Forum and Seaford parent group ‘Waves’.

  • Created graffiti posters
  • Created a communications and

social media campaign
