Conceptual Construction Phasing

  • Direct Connector Bridges will be replaced and removed one at a

time to minimize disruptions to existing traffic patterns, in this

  • rder:

– Southbound I-69C to Westbound I-2 – Southbound I-69C to Eastbound I-2 – Eastbound I-2 to Northbound I-69C – Westbound I-2 to Northbound I-69C

  • The new bridges can mostly be constructed while traffic remains

in its current location

  • Temporary detours will be required for roadway and bridge

construction.

  • Remaining highway lane, frontage road, and ramp optimization

work will be interwoven into the direct connector replacement phases to provide least possible impact to traveling public
